She was predeceased by: her parents, Beatrice Sims and Claude Harthcock; her sister Bobbie Bonderer; her daughter Mary Bea Carnathan; and her grandson Shea Carnathan.
She is survived by: her children, Jackie Carnathan Sanford, Bubber Carnathan (Tess) and Don Carnathan (Pam); her grandchildren, Libby Carnathan Grantham (John), Patrick Sanford, Julia Sanford and Sarah Carnathan; her great grandchildren, Lawson McReynolds, Reese McReynolds, Anna Reeves Sanford, Braeden Kahoe and Alana Carnathan; and her great great grandchild Slade McReynolds.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Southern Funeral Home (100 Pine St, Lexington, MS 39095). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers the family asked for memorials to be sent to St Jude Children's Hospital or Fist Baptist Church, Lexington, Mississippi in honor of Doris.
