It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James William Burwell of Lexington, Mississippi, who passed away on May 26, 2023, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, James William and Mary Elizabeth Wright Burwell, Jr.. He is survived by : his sons, Will Burwell (Sara) of Canton and Carter Burwell (Rachael) of Benton; his sisters, Mary Frances Waters (Keith) of Sumrall and Grace Caldwell (Neal) of Ripley; and his grandchildren, Emma Claire Burwell, Grayson Burwell, Annabelle Burwell, Everly Burwell, Jase Burwell and Lucas Burwell.

In Lieu of flowers family request memorials to be made to the Ebenezer Methodist Church, 3684 Highway 14, Pickens, Ms 39146.
