He was predeceased by: his parents, George Whittington (Leethie Evans Whittington) and Leethie Whittington McDaniel; his stepfather Leon McDaniel; his siblings, Earl Whittington, Charles Whittington, Alton Whittington, Roy Whittington, Billy Whittington and Linda Whittington Delaughter; and his stepsiblings, Bonnie M. Albritton, Ed McDaniel and George McDaniel. He is also survived by nine nieces and three nephews, along with numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
