We announce the death of Judy Wanda Thornton Bond (Liberty, Mississippi), who passed away on September 21, 2026, at the age of 71. Judy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, J. L. Thornton and Edith McKenzie Thornton; and her son Jonathan "Duke" Carraway. She is survived by: her husband Bobby J. Bond; her sons, Jeremy Carraway (Jerri) and William Reedy; her stepchildren, Donald Bond (Michelle) and Bekki Bond; her daughter-in-law Traci Carraway (Duke); her siblings, Nenna Evans (Bill) and Harris Thornton (Cindy); and her grandsons, Chris Carraway, Blake Carraway, Gavin Reedy, Brian Carraway and Jamie Carraway. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the New Salem Baptist Church (3634 King Rd, Liberty, MS 39645).
