He was predeceased by: his parents, June Kovacs and Andrew Kovacs; and his sisters, Claudia Callahan and Sandy Downey. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dottie" Fandal; his children, Michael Fandal and Trace Fandal; and his grandson Tomas Furtado. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (720 Beach Blvd E, Long Beach, MS 39560). A Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the St. Vincent de Paul Society c/o St. Thomas Church.
