She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald Steve Garrett; her parents, Leon Ladner and Euva Ladner; her brother R. D. "Bobby" Ladner; her sister-in-law Irma Depreo Ladner; her sister Linda "Gayle" Bentz; her in-laws, Eura Welch and Eslie Garrett; and her nephew Mikkel Newell.
She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Garrett Sanders (Brent) of Pass Christian; her brother Marlin Ladner (Rebecca); her sibling's children, Stephanie Ariatti (Bobby), Richard Bennett (Tricia), Bradley Bennett, Don Ladner (Teresa), Donna Nix (Morris), Bridget Weatherly (Russell), Leigh Ann Newell, Roger Ladner (Sharon), Cindy Ladner Hathcock, Sharon Bentz Mustered (Ken) and Leonard Bentz (Amber); and her caregivers, Robin, Tammy, Morgan, April, Rhonda, Ginny, Judy, Sherrell, Rushelle, Gail and Myra. She is also survived by numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made in Carol's name to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Southern Living Assistance Services, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
