We announce the death of Archie Dean Stanley (Louisville, Mississippi), who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 74. Archie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Plummer Stanley and Stella Thomas Stanley; his wife Sandra Stanley; his son William Steve Watkins; and his siblings, Florene Parker, Geneva Stevenson, Jan White, Larry Stanley and Clyde Stanley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Marsha Oxner (Tarpley) of Florence and Laurie Watkins of Louisville; his grandchildren, Michael Stanley (Kathy) of Pelahatchie and Thomas Stanley of Louisville; and his brothers, Julius "Bill" Stanley, Bobby Stanley (Edna) and Jerry Stanley (Frances). He is also survived by "Papaw" to his seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Massey Funeral Home (724 N Columbus Ave, Louisville, MS 39339). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Massey Funeral Home Chapel (724 N Columbus Ave, Louisville, MS 39339). A burial was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at the Campground Cemetery (940 Campground Rd, Louisville, MS 39339).
