He is survived by: his wife Barbara Bean Hitt of Preston, MS; his children, Jennifer Sharpston (Michael) of Philadelphia, MS, Nancy Higginbotham (Jimmy) of Preston, MS, Matthew Hitt (Bridgett) of Little Rock, MS and Chris Hitt (Alisha) of Gardendale, AL; and his aunt Brenda Viverette. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.
