She was predeceased by: her husband Jimmie Young, Jr.; her son Jimmy Lee Young; her parents, Lee Howard and Laura Eichelberger; and her siblings, Bobby Dean Eichelberger, Lee Howard Eichelberger, Jr., David Eichelberger and Eldora Jones.

She is survived by: her children, Shirley Weeden, Geraldine Johnson, Demetrice Cheatham (Kedrick), Tonino Young (Barbara), Joyce Hoskins (Robert) and Terrion Young (Shavonda); and her siblings, Ollie Mae Houston, Doris Taylor (Nathan), Edna Hargett, Willie Thermon Eichelberger, Otis Eichelberger (Laura Dean), Donel Eichelberger and James Robert "Tom" Eichelberger. She is also survived by 40 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
