He was predeceased by : his parents, James B. Files and Elsie Bane Files. He is survived by : his sons, James Files (Amy) of Madison, MS and Thomas Files of Louisville; his granddaughter Greenleigh Elizabeth Files; and his siblings, Elaine Jefcoat (Tommie) and Harold Files (Barbara) of Houston, TX. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
