He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Alexander Johnson and Kathleen Lofton Kemp; and his mother-in-law Annie Bess Todd. He is survived by: his wife Patti Todd Johnson; his children, Michael Johnson (Sheila), Emily McClain (Guy), Julie Johnson and Todd Johnson (Landrey); his grandchildren, Lane Johnson, Maggie Johnson, Madison Aycock (Hunter), Meredith McClain, Hutch McClain, Kathleen Bess McClain, Tripp Johnson, Noble Johnson and Anne Spencer Johnson; his great grandchild Fletcher Aycock; his brother Johnny Johnson (Cheryl); and his nephews, Chris Johnson and Brad Johnson (Jessica).
A graveside service was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Old Mars Hill Cemetery (3100 Mars Hill Rd, Philadelphia, MS 39350).
