It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bonnie Harwood Denton of Lucedale, Mississippi, who passed away on March 9, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husbands, Joe B. Harwood, Jr. and Lewis Denton; her parents, Gertie Cowart and Louie Cowart; and her sisters, Cleo Shouse (Wilbur) and Farron Yates (Fred).

She is survived by: her children, Alan Harwood (Lois) and Angela Johnson (Doug); and her grandchildren, Faith Lawshe (Eric), Caralee Kittrell (Gracen), Lisa Marie Bufkin (Chris), Olivia Howell (Chandler) and Jason Harwood (Jesi). She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
