He is survived by: his children, Michael Raymond Smith (Selina), John David Smith (Lisa), Rebecca Frances Boone (Randy), Daniel Paul Smith (Stacey) and Roger Brian (Shannon); his brother Guy Smith (Christa) of North Carolina; and his grandchildren, Melissa Stringfellow (Shane), Eric Smith (Joy), Maegan Velasquez (Scotty), Sabrina Deakle (Todd), Jeremy Smith (Chrissy Brown), Ross Boone, Matt Boone (Gabby), Zack Boone, Rachel Boone, Paul Smith (Jessica), Chris Smith (Hayden), Quen Crabtree (Brittany), Caleb Crabtree (Adriane), Seth Crabtree (Victoria), Faith Smith (Owen Swisshelm) and Maggie Odom (Brandon). He is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rocky Creek Baptist Church (2147 Rocky Creek Rd, Lucedale, MS 39452). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rocky Creek Baptist Church for the Creek Kidz Building Fund or Bible Drill Scholarship.
