He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Nelson and Mary Eldora Nelson; and his siblings, Glennwood Bud Nelson, Carey Ray Nelson and Janet Leach.
He is survived by: his children, David Harris, Sr. (Shelli) of Lucedale, Roy Harris (Lisa) of Lucedale, Cathy Bradley (Larry) of Leakesville, Charlene Shields (Billy) of Big Point, George Nelson, Jr. of San Antonio, Tina Nelson of Lucedale and Seth Nelson of Lucedale; and his siblings, Diane Gibson, Dennis Nelson and Joy Hunter. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren.
