He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Miniard and Mildred Faye Bryars Miniard; and his sister Jilquitte Fortner. He is survived by: his children, Walker Miniard, Wyatt Miniard, Wacoda Miniard, Kagan Miniard and Gavin Miniard. He is also survived by six siblings; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
