He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Sumrall Sims; his children, John Gordon "Trae" Sims, III (Kim) and Michelle Gray (Jimmy); his grandchildren, Karenna Sims (Christian Tinnion), John Gordon "Jack" Sims, IV, Danielle Gray, Emily Gray and Alex Gray; his friend Kim Brannan; and his pet Zoey. He is also survived by numerous other relatives, friends.
