As Leavy Aline departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Leavy Aline. Though Leavy Aline may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Busby and Joyce Busby; and her brothers, Max Busby, Jimmy Busby, Arlin Busby and David Busby.
She is survived by: her husband Lavelle Mathis; her children, Greg Mathis (Judy) and Angie Hobby; her grandsons, Zack Mathis (Maegan) and Nathan Mathis (Macie) of Lucedale; and her sister Diane West (LD) of Lucedale. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Winborn Chapel Methodist Church (455 Winborn Chapel Rd, Lucedale, MS 39452). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Winborn Chapel United Methodist Church, Winborn Chapel (455 Winborn Chapel Rd, Lucedale, MS 39452).
