It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Estelle Firth Altaffer of Lucedale, Mississippi, who passed away on February 8, 2026, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry Ford and Lucy Etta Wimbish Ford; her former husband Enos Firth; her daughter Pam Firth; and her siblings, Henry Ford, Louis Ford, Harold Ford and Erlyne Cantrell.
She is survived by: her husband Harlan Altaffer; her grandchildren, Allison Davis, Daniel White, Rachel Hudson, Jodi Carlisle and Curtis Archey; and her sister Voncile Stokes. She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren.
