It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Evelyn Fortenberry of Lucedale, Mississippi, who passed away on December 19, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, W. G. Dungan and Virginia Mae Dungan (Holland); her spouse Ellis Gerald Fortenberry; and her brothers, Robert Dungan and Raymond Dungan.
She is survived by: her children, Michelle Davis of Lucedale, MS, Michael Bishop (Janice) of Lucedale, MS and Keith Bishop (Kitty) of Thibodaux, LA; and her siblings, Betty Williams, Frances Dickerson (Woody), June Mathis (Mike) and William Dungan (Donna).
