It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger L. Yates of Lucedale, Mississippi, who passed away on June 16, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, J. T. Yates and Maggie Yates (Prysock); his former wife Edie Crutchfield Yates; his siblings, Darlene Yates, Peggy Gibson, Maudean Peacock and Sonny Boy Yates; and his grandson Ford McClure.
He is survived by: his wife Sabra Gayle Yates; his children, Sherri Blankenship (Bill), Susan Ackeret (Lance), Connie McTire (Mike), Amy McClure (Sam), Ruben Rasberry (Rachelle), Adrian Rasberry (Robbin Williams) and Jessica Rasberry; and his brother Wayne Yates. He is also survived by 16 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sigler Funeral Home (4248 Main St, Lucedale, MS 39452). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Sigler Funeral Home (4248 Main St, Lucedale, MS 39452). A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bay Minette Cemetery (919 US-31, Bay Minette, AL 36507).
