It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger L. Yates of Lucedale, Mississippi, who passed away on June 16, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, J. T. Yates and Maggie Yates (Prysock); his former wife Edie Crutchfield Yates; his siblings, Darlene Foster, Peggy Gibson, Maudean Peacock and Sonny Boy Yates; and his grandson Ford McClure.
He is survived by: his wife Sabra Gayle Yates; his children, Sheri Blankenship (Bill), Susan Ackeret (Lance) and Robin Vancleave (Don); his grandchildren, Alexis Aldrich (Aiden), April Murphy (Dallas), Christian Blankenship and Camden Blankenship; his great grandchildren, Andrew Murphy, Ryan Aldrich, Jacie Jaskolka, Keegan Blankenship and Lilyanna Blankenship; his great great grandchild Abel; his children, Connie McTire (Mike), Amy McClure (Sam), Ruben Rasberry (Rachelle), Adrian Rasberry (Robbin Williams) and Jessica Rasberry; and his brother Wayne Yates. He is also survived by grandchildren; 9 bonus great grandchildren.
