Rufus Daniel Dye Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 13, 2026, at the age of 74, Rufus Daniel Dye (Lucedale, Mississippi) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Rufus may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Rufus touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Dye and Myrtis Dye; his stepson Wayne Strickland; and his brother Travis McNair. He is survived by: his wife Laura Dye; his sons, Alex Dye and Aric Dye; his grandchildren, Jacob Dye and Samantha Dye; and his brother Bruce Dye. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Pinewood Baptist Church (1195 MS-26, Lucedale, MS 39452). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
