He was predeceased by : his parents, George C. Young and Laura Sue Young (Killcreas). He is survived by : his daughters, Amanda Lauren Young and Mahaleigh Kathleen Young Bernard; his siblings, Patricia "Patsy" Sue Fairley and George Thomas "Tom" Young (Betsi); his nephew Herschel Hill (Alesia); and his niece Peggy Logan (Greg). He is also survived by 3 great nieces; and 4 great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sigler Funeral Home (4248 Main St, Lucedale, MS 39452). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
