It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shannon Tanner (Lucedale, Mississippi), who passed away on May 20, 2026, at the age of 19, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Philip Harvey Tanner; and his grandparents, Harvey Shannon, Tressie Tanner and Mary Hughes. He is survived by: his mother Pamela Thompson; his siblings, Mark Brown, Stephanie Evans and Anna Broom (Sammie, Jr.); his in-laws, Kayla Brown and Curtis Evans; his nieces and nephews, Addison Evans, Gary Evans, Brennley Brown, Axel Evans and Sammie Broom III; and his grandfather John Hughes. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Moments Funeral Home (7158 MS-63, Lucedale, MS 39452). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
