He is survived by: his wife Diane Inez Lundy Sweeting; his children, Sean Timothy Sweeting (Kelli), Matthew Scott Sweeting and Heather Diane Sweeting (Duane Hope); his grandchildren, Joshua Stephen Sweeting, Elizabeth Selena Sweeting Ruffin (Brandon), Austin Blake Sweeting, Matthew David Sweeting (Anna), April Lozane Sweeting, Seth Andrew Sweeting (Mariah), Kyle Royce Sweeting (Alexis), Faith Leigh'Ann Sweeting, Gabrielle Faith Hope, Isabelle Ariel Hope and Tyler "Ty" Sweeting; and his great grandchildren, Raleigh Jean Ruffin, Athena Rose'Alenne Sweeting, Adam Nathaniel Ruffin, John Timothy Ruffin, Kaiden Lee Sweeting, Keaton David Sweeting, Corbett Ellis Sweeting, Colby Matthew Sweeting, Mattie Raine Sweeting, Kelli Ann Sweeting, Wyatt Anthony Sweeting, Milissa Ethel Sweeting, Jackson Royce Sweeting, Elizabeth Sweeting, Karson Sweeting and Emerson Sweeting. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tanners Family Cemetery (26305 Tanner Chapel Rd, Lucedale, MS 39452). A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
