It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved William Dawson Burge Sr. of Lucedale, Mississippi, who passed away at the age of 79, on December 12, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Woodie "Swifty" Burge and Virgie Mae Burge; his wife June Rouse Burge; and his son Wiliam Edward "Eddie" Burge. He is survived by: his children, Lisa Cates (Mark) and William Dawson Burge Jr.; his grandchildren, Michael, Courtney, Candice Cates and Justin Burge (Anna Claire); and his great grandchildren, Cora and Margot Burge. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews along with many special friends.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Magnolia Cemetery (328 Mill St, Lucedale, MS 39452).
