He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Hester and Clarcie Hester. He is survived by: his wife Ruthie Hester of Lumberton; his sons, Jared Hester (Amy) of Sumrall and Wes Hester (Kelsey) of Hattiesburg; his grandchildren, Grace Hester, Garrett Hester and Hayden Hester; his sister Barbara Lindsey (Don) of Hattiesburg; and his stepson Scott Perkins of Hawaii. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Lumberton (103 E Hinton Ave, Lumberton, MS 39455). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his memory.
