He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Cochran and Ollye Cochran; his siblings, Joyce Bullock and Ray Cochran; and his close friend Evelyn Caswell.

He is survived by: his children, Darlene Montgomery (Billy) of Laurel, Lynne Wheeless (Jones Yates) of Centerville, TN, Cindy Branton (Mark) of Purvis and Curtis Cochran (Shelley) of Oak Grove. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
