Gary Lois Higginbotham Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Lois Higginbotham (Macon, Mississippi), who passed away on November 17, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Gary may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gary touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her husband Travis Higginbotham; her parents, Elisha Neel Clark and Lillian Jewel Clark (James) of Macon, MS; her sister Betty Edith Clark of Macon, MS; and her son-in-law Mike Montgomery of Starkville, MS..

She is survived by: her daughter Haley Montgomery (Higginbotham) of Starkville; and her grandchildren, Travis, Elisha and Maggie.
