She is survived by: her husband Sedrick Hughes of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; her daughter Ashanti Hughes of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; her siblings, Lynell Clemons (Everett) of East St, Clarice Holmes, Sr. (Tommie) of Brooksville, Mable Hopkins (Earlie Henley) of Brooksville, Lillian Gillespie (Julius) of Macon, Octavia Stowers (Leonard Fields) of Macon, Mississippi and Stanley Hopkins (Lisa Bradford) of Macon, Mississippi; and her in-laws, Adrian and Jeanette Hughes of Macon, Mississippi.. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Carter's Funeral Services (200 Millers Chapel Church Rd, Macon, MS 39341). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Noxubee County High School (16478 US-45, Macon, MS 39341). A burial was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at the Friendship Mt. Carmel M. B. Church.
