He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton Lee Doby, Sr. and Dimple Brewer Doby of Waynesboro. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Driskell Doby; his daughter Sara Jane McCrary (Jeff); his granddaughters, Lissa of Madison, Mississippi., Jane of Madison, Mississippi. and Kate McCrary of Madison, Mississippi.; his sisters, Sheryl Doby Davis (Phil) of Laurel and Sheila Doby Cranford (Phillip) of Pace, Florida; and his sister-in-law Annette Driskell Welch of Union, Mississippi. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel of the Resurrection at the Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church (674 Mannsdale Rd, Madison, MS 39110). A requiem service was held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church in Madison, Mississippi.
