He was predeceased by: his father Robert John; his wife Wilma Lancaster; and his father Docia Harry. He is survived by: his daughters, Debbie Cannon (Lamar), Renee'Middleton (Steve) and Sydney Searcy (William); and his sister-in-law Carolyn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
