He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. William Harrison (Doc) and Mary Weems Parker. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Bryant Parker; his children, Mary Helen Abel (Jay) and J. T. Parker; his grandchildren, Tehilah Bracha Niema (Yehuda), Benyamin Chaim Parker, Azarya Oz Shalom Parker, Hodiyah Niema Parker, Hugh Parker Abel, John Hudson Abel, Jessica Sweeney-Platt (Randall Platt), John Sweeney (Mary Virginia), James Sweeney, Ainsley Platt, Ella Sweeney, Corwyn Platt and Rhian Platt; his brothers, William Parker (Judy) and Robert Parker (Josie); and his nieces and nephews, Ellen Parker, Will Parker, Marion Parker and Morgan Parker (Carley).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church, Millsaps College, or the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra.
