She was predeceased by: her parents, Jessie James and Lila Martin James; her husbands, James B. Hester and Kermit L. Moore; her daughter Judy Tollison; and her siblings, Anita Nichols, Maryann Stephens, Marie Stephens and Durwood James.

She is survived by: her daughter Debbie Salley (Joe Tommy); her son-in-law Harvey Tollison; her grandchildren, Brenda Atkinson, Amy Reed, Mary Ann Wade, Vivian Grubbs, Theresa Cockrell and Jamie Tollison; and her siblings, Mary Elizabeth James, Peggy James and David James. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Culpepper Funeral Home (11748 MS-35, Kosciusko, MS 39090). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
