He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Neward; his parents, Wallace Merchant (Regina Merchant) and Regina Merchant; his siblings, Jane Welch (Jim) and William (Bill) Merchant (Lois); and his daughter-in-law Tammy Merchant.
He is survived by: his children, Sally East (Tom) of Villa Hills, KY, Peggy Jacobs (Pat) of Tomball, TX, Paul Merchant of Greenwood, Julie Goforth (Kenny) of Madison, Anne Marie Bromley of Brandon, Mary York (Allen) of Madison and Dawn. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Leo's honor to St. Richard's Catholic Church or St. Richard's.
