It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Guy McGarity (Madison, Mississippi), born in Dawson, Georgia, who passed away on November 14, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, James McGarity and Mary Frances Mackey McGarity. He is survived by : his wife Betty McGarity; his daughter Donna Weatherwax (Larry) of Denver, CO; his stepsons, John Harless (Sage) of Denver, CO and Christopher Harless (Jana) of Ridgeland, MS; and his siblings, Alice Faye Milner (Marcus) of Morristown, TN and Robert McGarity (Diane) of Lillian, AL. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
