With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Edwin Dale Berry of Magee, Mississippi, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. As we bid adieu to Edwin Dale's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Edwin Dale has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (222 1st St NW, Magee, MS 39111). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. These included snow and ice storms in 2017 and 2021, numerous tornadoes, and perhaps most challenging, the COVID-19 crisis.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Jimmy Clyde Sportsplex (a name change initiated by Dale as Mayor in honor of his predecessor), C/O City of Magee, or a favorite church or charity in Dale's name.
