He was predeceased by: his parents, Noah E. Griffith and Irma Lee Griffith. He is survived by: his children, Herbert Wayne Griffith, George Stephen Griffith, Vicki Lynn Williams (Marvin), Tracey Lee Williams (Dixon) and Cindy Grace Jones (Bill); his sisters, Bonnie Magee (Jerry) and Shirley Smith; his grandchildren, Daniel White, Joshua White, Hannah Arnold, Valerie Walker, Phillip Lehner, John Lehner, Jessica Griffith and Logan Griffith; and his friend Glenda Bridges. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.

“We were so very sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. He will be missed in our community. The last time I visited him was the last of November 2020. He had wanted me to make him some tea cakes like Mamaw Turner used to make. I tried and am sure I failed, but Danny and I enjoyed so much visiting him and Glenda. He always was ready to take up time with us when we visited. He would drive us over his property in his Kabota.. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Woney and Danny”
