It is with sadness that the passing of Hazel Jean Rushing (Magee, Mississippi) is shared. Hazel, born on December 3, 1943, passed away on September 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Hazel will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Hazel by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Hazel is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Hazel’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her father Johnny Jones; her husband Charles Willard Rushing Sr.; her son Jerry Wayne Rushing; her mother Wauldean Smith Jones; and her brothers, Junior Jones and Burlin Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Charles W. Rushing Jr. (Laura) and Hazel Wauldean Wilborn (Ronnie); her grandchildren, Brandi Rushing, Danielle Rushing and Dusty Rushing (Virginia); her great grandchild Colton Rushing; and her sister Kathy Cliburn. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Mendenhall City Cemetery.
