He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Elmer Hughes and Eva Lois Martin; and his brother Leslie Hughes. He is survived by: his daughters, Brandy Dye (George) and Raven Varnes (Jeffrey); his brothers, Burt Hughes (Robin) and Charles Hughes; his sister-in-law Lydia Hughes; his grandchildren, Brailey Varnes, Ava Varnes, Elaina Varnes, Ryder Maddox, Tanis Blakeney, Devin Blakeney, Kobie Dye (Ryleigh) and Justen Dye (Pearl); and his great grandchildren, Emma Blakeney, Axel Blakeney, Rynlee Dye and Ridge Dye.
