He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph "Joe" Jones Powell and Lottie Grace Powell (Coleman). He is survived by: his daughter Jodi Lynn Powell; his sister Linda Jo Powell Stubblefield (Rick); his nephew Jason Powell Stubblefield (Judith Ann); and his great-nieces, Marilyn, Vivian, Eleanor and Priscilla Stubblefield. He is also survived by cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Church of Mendenhall. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mendenhall Cemetery (469 E Court Ave, Mendenhall, MS 39114).
