He was predeceased by : his parents, Thurman Ates and Lou Ates; his sister Cindy Ates; and his grandparents, Carvin and Elsie Ates.
He is survived by : his grandson Bentley Ates; his sons, Josh Ates (Becky) of Florence, MS, Jacob Ates of Colorado Springs and Tyler Ates (Christine); and his grandchildren, Austin, Paris, Cameron, Brandon, Dylan and Silas Ates.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Tutor Funeral Home - Magee (822 Simpson Hwy 149, Magee, MS 39111).
