She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiram Willis Rhodus and Montory Caroline Berry Rhodus; her husband Wendell Rushing; and her children, Barbara Lynn Rushing, Steve Eric Rushing and Lamar Rushing Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Kerry Rushing (Alice) and Jane Greene (Bill). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, 8 bonus great grandchildren and 3 bonus great- great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Magnolia Starts (126 S Clark Ave, Magnolia, MS 39652). A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at the Magnolia Cemetery (120 Osborne St, Magnolia, MS 39652).
