He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lynn Simmons and Ruby Pigott Simmons Ginn. He is survived by: his wife Jane Simmons; his children, John Ashley Simmons (Tansy Graves) and Alisa Simmons Stewart (Todd); his grandchildren, Tyler Stewart (Leah), Madison Stewart, Sarah Simmons, Leah Simmons, Matthew Simmons, Eli Simmons, Tanner Humphries and Addison Humphries; his great grandchildren, Whitlee Stewart, Walker Stewart and William Reid Stewart; and also Jan Humphries (Robbie).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 10:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the Catchings-Sharkey Funeral Home (1023 Old Brookhaven Rd, Summit, MS 39666). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at the Mars Hill Cemetery.
