She was predeceased by: her parents, W. R. "Bill" Gant and Jewel Gant; her son Michael Hinton; her siblings, Bill Oscar Gant, Tom Gant, Dan Gant (Nelda), Philip Gant and Virginia "Ginger" Maness; her siblings-in-law, Barbara Hinton, Betty Hinton and Edward Hinton; and her parents-in-law, G. E. and Sarah Maxine Hinton.
She is survived by: her husband Ray Hinton; her children, Julie Mitchell (Reed) and Grant Hinton (Kelly); her grandchildren, Serra James (Desmond), John Mitchell (Brittany), Zack Mitchell (Kristi), Jacob Hinton, Anslie Mitchell, Eli Hinton, Ethan Mitchell, Joshua Hinton and Beau Hinton; her great grandchildren, Lizzie, Dac, Ellie, Emmie Mitchell, Torren, Dellah, Dezzi and Dash James; her siblings, Roger Gant (Betty), Cathy Meteer (Mike) and Nita Wolfe (Joel); and her siblings-in-law, Wayne Maness, Otis Hinton (Ann), Frank Hinton, Janie Gant, Mary Gant, Glenna Gant and Wanza Benson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wheeler Grove Baptist Church Choir Fund.
