He was predeceased by: his parents, Andy West and Maggie Taylor West; his siblings, Earnest West, Pat West, Carlton West, Ezell Crafton and Shirley Smith; his granddaughter Summer Renee West; and the mother of his children Delois Petigo West.

He is survived by: his sons, Jacky West (Dorce) of Mooreville and Michael E. West of Madison, AL; his adoptive children, Rebecca Willard (James), Michael A. West (Renee), Zachary West (Tara), Casey Gray (Marcus) and De'Anna Baugh (Jake); his sisters, Ozell West of Mantachie and Avanell Escalante of Tupelo; and his siblings-in-law, Graham Crafton and Peggy West. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family members.
