He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Alton Thornton and Lula Verda Dodson; his wife Martha Jo Dodson; Lula Verda Frazier. He is survived by: his children, Larry Dodson, Jr. (Wanda) and Deborah Rose (Thomas) of Mantachie; his grandchildren, Tyler Smith, Ashley Dodson and Jordan Rose; and his great grandchildren, Annabelle Smith, John Taylor Rose and Jaiden Kai Rose.
