He is survived by: his wife Carol Brown Mitchell; his children, Charles Shane Mitchell (Ginni) and Shawn Mitchell Lee; his grandchildren, Cody Mitchell, Austin Mitchell, Alexis Miller and Laken Lee; his great grandchildren, Brinley Abernathy and Bennett Prescott; and his siblings, Bess McDowell Fair and Jimmy McDowell.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bruce's name to Wounded Warriors and Tunnel to Towers.
