She was predeceased by : her parents, John Felix Brewer and Mollie Baker Brewer; her children, Billy Joe Smith, Edwin Bradley Smith and Melinda Jane Smith-Pennington; and her siblings, John Donald Brewer, Tommy Wendel Brewer and Barbara June Brewer-Parker.

She is survived by : her children, Gary Don Smith (Trina) and Carla Jeanette Smith-Shaffer; and her sister Pearly Charlene Brewer-Parten. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren & ten great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Marks (300 Maple St, Marks, MS 38646). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
