He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Gant and Hattie Marie Gant; his wife Edna Gant; his son Ricky Gant; his daughter-in-law Peggy Gant; and his granddaughter Rhonda Michelle Martin.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jimmy, Charlie, Edward, Betty and Helen; his children, Roxie Parker (David) and Rufus M. Gant II; and his sisters, Shirley Blevins, Joyce Drew and Anita Clements.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Kimbro Funeral Home (323 M. L. K. Jr Dr, Marks, MS 38646).
