It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Gordon Darby Jr. of Marks, Mississippi, who passed away on May 19, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gordon Darby, Sr. and Pauline O'Neal Darby; and his wife Patricia Ann Darby. He is survived by: his sons, Brian Darby of Tulsa, OK and Brad Darby (Laura) of Oxford, MS; and his siblings, Mickie Darby Gambrell of Atlanta, GA and Ronnie Darby of Batesville, MS. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Marks Methodist Church (401 E Main St, Marks, MS 38646). A memorial service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
